Roselynn Counseling Center

We, Katie and Lauren, met while working at a wonderful group counseling practice in Charlotte several years ago. After entering into motherhood around the same time, we shared a mutual passion for working with other women as they navigate the joys and stressors of motherhood. Both of us became certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and started dreaming about how we could create a special place together to support moms, while also getting to continue the work we love in our other counseling specialties.

The name Roselynn comes the blending of our daughter’s middle names! The birth of our daughters was a turning point for both of us in realizing it was time to make a career pivot in order to have the flexibility we desired to balance being mothers and therapists. It feels special every time we see our business name in writing to think about our sweet babies and remember this career is something we love to do.

There are so many aspects to this specialty of perinatal mental health- trying to conceive, infertility, loss, pregnancy, birth, postpartum mood disorders, growing in confidence in your role as a mother, giving love to your postpartum body, how to feed your baby, working moms, stay at home moms, relationship with your partner, transition to multiple children- there are so many emotions to navigate! We are committed to providing a safe and nonjudgmental place to be heard and cared for as you give so much of yourself to caring for another.

While we love working with mothers, we each have other passions in counseling that we are grateful to continue working with as well. We both have much experience in the concerns listed below. You can find more detailed information on either of us on our About Me pages.
